OCS Phase I aftermath

I thought Army Basic training was hard. Well I found something more difficult. Phase I of Officer Candidate School (OCS). This was 2 weeks of 18-20 hour days of sleep deprivation and stress. It seems the course is designed to "weed out" those people who cant deal with being tired and yelled at. Those that are left are the ones who stand the best chances of finishing the OCS course. Of which there is 10 weekend drills and another 2 week training session. I look forward to it!

My confidence is higher having finished this phase of training. There were a couple of moments where I had asked myself what I was doing there. I pushed on however and finished the course and am better for it. I also made a lot of friends while I was there, I'm not sure if I'll see them again and will miss them. They were people from all walks of life but were similar to me in that we had the same goal, to finish this course.

I'm looking forward to the future, it's looking more promising as time goes by.
